Well said Curtis, now maybe he'll go back to the WRAM show thread and post more about Desert Aircraft producing a 2 cylinder inline when what he wants is a 3 cylinder. Justin I've told you the same things that Curtis has, I've been nice and tried to provide you with the most current information that I get from Chris. I hope you can understand that we are not hiding anything from you or anyone else, and there's nothing Extreme Flight wants more than to have these planes here for everyone to purchase as asap.

Curtis...

There isn't any need to appologize...
You and everyone on here has been a class act...

Forums are notorious for things getting out of hand, we lack many of the cues that we take for granted in our normal communications, and it is so easy for things to be taken out of context. Largely due to the necessary brevity in written communications.

It seems that most of what I was asking, got lost in translation, as ussual.

Brand choice is at the very least 80% emotion...point is pretty clear..the emotions tend to fog the mind on both ends....

I just wanted some planes and was trying to get one.....

I just think that sosme may be a tad OVER sensitive....

Later....

I think I have mastaken what "on the list for planes is"
I put wayyyy tooo much stock in it.....
That is what happpens when you don't call up a company and get the real
scoop.... Instead, I listened to ill information, at best about what to do or what was going on..

If I offended some...sorry for that....It really wasn't my intention.

I wanted to get a EF plane, so much soo, that I was willing to fight for it....
If that isn't a indication of there quality, not sure what is....

I would have expected that from a friend of craven's, not from a guy that shares a shop with Chris.......
"It is like playing cards with my sister's kids..."
Heart on the sleeve, and purly emotional....

Really no need to name call...

(I think that was covered in college 101-something...)

To name a few of what I feel are the "good guys" that do right by their customer:

ExtremeFlight
3DHobbyshop
Composite Arf
Airwild
JTech

Never said a issue with shipment times.....
Never said they were not the GOOD GUYS.....
They are great....Just asked about lists....I think it is a internet forum thing
not a EF thing...not sure they have a list....More of a recomendation....

I am sure that they had hundreds of e-mails....to send out....
It was wrong of me to place soo much stock in this....
Never did that before/??

And you can go back on the forum talking about your sponsor JR, and the "jitters"....
You give very good advice, one I will take.....
I will now call and talk to the manufactures, instead of getting second hand info....

your a good guy.....
I am sure EF is happy to have you as there pilot...
I mean it....

Justin.

From what are they defending??? Do they have stock in the company???"

1. Go ahead and feel upset,it won't get you anywhere.

2. I'm defending an amazing product that is sold/designed by a great company.

3. I do not have stock in the company.Should they start selling shares,I'm in....

It's funny you mention you get upset when people start defending EF,I am the opposite. I get pissed when people like you degrade a company thats having some growing pains. If the wait is to long,go buy another plane and stop crying. It's a model airplane, get over it and grow some patients.

Here's the best part. I don't even own an EF plane.I'm just a fan.....
1. I take on all comes...
2. I deleted all the Posts that I wish to retract...
3 . Great.... I will as well....

4....... Pissed about degradeing what??? I am not degrading anything.....

I get upset when someone goes and makes idiotic remarks like I have.....
I posted some things that I really didn't give much thought about....
I have appologized for that....

I have wasted enough of everyone's time on this.....

I will take what people say on the forums with a gain of salt.....

I will call the manufacture, instead of emailing to get issues sorted....

EF, to the best of my knowledge a GREAT Company.....that has a AMAZING product.....
Period...........

Ive gotta thank you TX Newbee

That is some of the funniest stuff Ive read in a long time, but why stop at a 120 lets get it to a 50.

Thanks again

Quote:
I was thinking I could save weight the following:
  • DA-120 vs DA-170 3 lbs savings
  • Eliminating 2 servos, wires, linkage, & arms 10 ozs (2 7990TH 600+ ozs for each ailerons, and 1 lightened Seiko for rudder)
  • Eliminating power expander and smaller batteries 11 ozs
  • Composite pipes saves 15 oz's
  • Or Stock muffler save 22 ozs
  • Carbon Spinner 8 oz's
  • Go with titanium bolts, LW wheels, Axles, Graph Tech G2 Gear, Fuji fuel tank, Micro throttle servo, LW pilot (or no pilot), eliminate a few switches save another 28 oz's or more.
Option 1:
So I might be able to get it down to 32.5 Lbs It will be 3.7 lbs heavier than Bob's 40% Carden (28.7lbs) but have more wing area 123" instead of 118" and have way more power a DA-120 on pipes vs an old style DA-100 on stock mufflers. What do you think?

Yes you did

Let me explain this to some of you newer guys who obviously are a little naive to large scale models.

Just because the plane is lighter does not mean it is going to fly any better. What Mr. TX Newbie has just explained here is basically an under powered box kite.

Hey, there is nothing wrong with kites and if you really like them go out and buy one, but leave the airplanes to the guys who know what they're doing.

Hope that explains everything.
