Ok just to put this into perspective...

Is this the airplane that one can never order on their website???

This thread was started in July of 2008 and still it is not a standard item on their website??

I mean - I can be patient and all but its coming up on 2 year mark.

Don't get me wrong I think Chris makes probably the best aircraft out there.
The main reason I can see myself flying one of these. I just don't feel real good about being put on a list if there is no support locally (I mean state side -spare parts and all) if the airplane is not ready to go to hi volume distrbution.
It seems that the smaller electrics are getting more attention - but hey they are available.

Gotta be a better way -

Ronster

I had a 110" EF Yak 54 that had the same problem, one wing fits very tight on the wing tube, it gets better with time but you can wet sand with a light grit that side of the wing tube or use a little bit of baby powder. Congrats on the 123"!!! I had the 48" and 78" extras and they flight great!!!

I have a PAU 43% Edge 540 (just look the avatar) Is a great performer, And Herve Lejune is a great guy and gives a super service! So Chris Hinson and Curtis Cozier!!! ( I'm also an Extreme Flight customer and fan, currently own three EF airframes) The decition is very, very, very, very very, very tough................. Good Luck!!!!!

I guess that if you are the type of person that wants to have the newest plane, then the EF is the answer, but I can tell you the Pau is a heck of a performer.... I guess you cannot go wrong with any of the two, good luck!!!!

No, they don't carry stock of this one. It's special order with 6 week leadtime which is why I got one that was in stock from a supplier in mainland Europe. I've got 4-6 weeks until my Plettenberg 37/6 motor turns up. It'll be the last thing to bolt on before I get it in the air.

haha i know eh! very hard decision. i have a mvvs 116 laying around. kinda wish EF would bring out a 110 inch extra 300 or edge 540 T for it. and then go for the 43% edge.

MVVS 116cc I have one on my EF 110" Yak 54 with Carbon Fiber ES Composites Tuned Pipes and the power is AMAZING, first I broke in with a ZM Prop 28x12 but the top end was ridiculously amazing!! then I change it to a 30x10 and now the plane is slower but much precise in 3D and IMAC. I saw on youtube 42% planes hovering with this engine, but to me it is not the best choice for a 40lbs plane, I'd will go with the MVVS 152 or a DA150. Good luck on your decision.

yeah. but a light 40% around the 37 range on tuned pipes wouldent be to bad with the 116. it does make the power of a 150 on tuned pipes... and do you know what lengh of header your useing? and the weight of the hole plane? i would put this motor in a 35% but it seems just to heavy, the 110 yak isent so bad because its bigger then most 100cc. soo im kinda looking for something inbetween a 35% and a 40%.

I have only 30 flights on this airplane and I love it! It's the best IMAC plane I flew to date!

Well the lenght of the headers are 11" reccomended by ES Composites, the engine is heavier than most 100cc class engines (weight the same as a 3W 110 and a Mintor 110) but the yak didn't care about it, it just balanced just right, I could say it is on the little tail heavy side. I did not weighted the plane but for its size is very light!! I could say it should be on the 28 - 29 pounds. I will weight it later and post it here just to people have an idea.
