The complainers will soon get there wishes. With all the crap this and other companies are getting with new coming products they will soon not tell the public any thing until they are ready for shipping. How would you like to find out that EF just came out with a 170cc yak 2 weeks after you buy something else. But if they give us the heads up that they're working on a 170cc yak and have delays which will happen 90% of the time on new product people on these sites get the panties all bunched up . So choose what you want to happen, know whats coming just dont know when or get blind sided buy a wonderful new product days after you blew the wad on some thing else. I choose to know whats coming w/ no real complaining rather than hope something is coming.

What bugs me is that EF won't even quote me a price for sending me new ailerons even though I think it is cr@p they don't put instructions in such an expensive kit.

How have you asked for the part price quote? Did you do it by email or phone? When did you do it? You should never glue multiple parts into or onto a surface without first checking to make sure the parts are all the same size and the holes line up, the blame goes to you on that one. If you have any questions regarding the building of the plane you can contact Extreme Flight, PM me and I'll answer it for you or check out the build thread here on this site. Considering you are one of a very small amount of people that have the plane I would be pretty happy.

Everybody is entitled to an opinion Lee. I just respectfully don't agree with yours. I think it was a reasonable assumption that all the aileron horns were the same, and other experienced builders in my area think the same. There is another experienced pilot over here with a 123 who saw the difference in hole position but has put the horn pairs at the wrong ends of the ailerons!

I did dry fit each horn to ensure it was seated properly but just didn't see the difference. Sure, we all make mistakes but it wouldn't happen if there had just been a tiny bit of guidance. It's probably the only bit of the assembly that's possible to get wrong and that is a credit to EFs design of the kit. I emailed EF late last week and got a reply suggesting I re-drill holes. My preference is for new parts. I want the airframe to be perfect and I personally don't want to risk the model on a horn that has been weakened by another hole being drilled.

All I can say is that I am totally hapumped about the 123" EF Extra. The way EF planes fly it has never mattered to me how long it takes for them to come out.

They are the best ARF on the market period.

If I am not mistaking the hinges are all glued in but they pocket type hinges so the pin can be removed and you can remove the aileron. The elevator and thr rudder are the same.
