Hello!
I am wondering if anyone has tried 2X Futaba 9157 for aileron on EF Extra 123? I read that it is very good to use 3 servos per aileron, but 9157 is really strong servo and I cant decide to buy 1 more for each aileron? Thanks, best wishes, Alan |

Is this the Longest April's fools day thread of FG or what??? 2 Years have gone by since the anoucment..... and we're still waiting on a shipment date of the first production batch. So hopefully by the time my grand son is able to fly, the plane will be available... (Mi son is 4 years old.... hahahahaha)
Sorry guys... but I think it been a little to long.... And don't get me wrong, EF have great planes but.... well everybody knows what come next... Good luck....

The first production batch did ship already, there are people here in the states that have them, as well as some guys in Europe. This plane has been refined a couple times through the prototype stages in order to make it as good as a plane can be right out of the box, this plane will compete side by side with any custom built plane any day. The waiting list is long, and those who have stuck with Extreme Flight on this one will be rewarded when they get their planes, and I'm sure those who moved on will be happy also, that is as long as they don't get a chance to pull the sticks on this plane and see what they missed out on......

Alan, I have no experience with the EF 123" but I do have a plane that specifies 3 servos per aileron. The reason 3 servos are specified is generally because the large ailerons on these big plane require three hard points to prevent flex and flutter. I would be very careful about reducing the number of hard points specified, and recommend following the manufacturer's instructions.

Thanks for feedbacks.
You convinced me to order two 9157s more. I will show some pictures of building, if there is some interest. And then, when it will be finished, I will try to make some video of flying. Best wishes, Alan |

Kevin... stick to the 4-site...
We've seen how you treat your freestyle airplanes and I'm sure Wayne wants his wings in one piece... Craig |
