Man krayzc....we must be on the same wave length , i just got off the phone with tom myself and ordered one up as well. I'll be running a MTW 75 canister and header with it. Slappin' it on the front of a H9 / carden yak 54.....should be a sweet combo!!

Jeffro503 great minds at work here.

I just received my header today for this motor. I ordered the header a few weeks ago custom made by ol Karl in Canada for this deal. Well here it is I am not sure what length will work best for my needs and this motor so I will have to check that part out. I am running mine on the C/F pipe......

HAHA!!...........sheeeesh........talk about timing!! i just got done writting "ULTIMATE1" here on FG about getting one of karls headers as well.

hey just so you know.....i was reading a post over on RCU by PE REIVERS about the RC extreme power Area 51 motor that Milton sells. and i read a reply by him saying start with a really long header.....possibly 15" and you'll get so much power out of a smaller motor it would be unbelievable ! check out post # 20 and a few after that >>> http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_78..._1/key_/tm.htm Interesting to say the least!

I'm not sure on the length of the header i can use on my H9 / carden yak yet. I'll have to wait and get the motor mounted , figure out my drop length on the header and go from there.

BTW....pretty lookin' header man! Un- wrap that sucker and post a couple up close pics if you can Krayzc......PLEASE!! BTW....what drop length did you get?

lol the pic has a write up lol a 25mm drop and here is the pic

as the header gets shorter the motor will come on the pipe harder and pull more RPM there is a balance most mfg will tell you so that you do not have the peeke motors my 50 ran well on about 12 inches if i am recalling correctly.....

I think this header is about 11" long.......

Krayzc, what plane you putting the 58 on?
How do I measure header length? Where to start & where to end the measurement? Thanks.

Ol Karl in Canada is bad to the Bone as he has made other headers for me. This set up will be on the carbon fiber pipe. My Brison spun a bearing or something ( I have not opened it up to see) so I wanted to try this motor to see if its half of the BME 116 for power to snatch my E/Flight Yak 54 around on a 23" prop. I ran the Brison on a Karl header spinning a 23A Vess at 6900 and sometimes a peak of 7k but 6900 was normal. The Brison picked up about 300 or more RPM over the peacekeeper muffler that I ran on a DP Extra that is parked. IF the Brison is repairable I will throw it back on the DP Extra for a true gas beater bird. I need to get my flying DOD and that would be my bird to do it gets over the fear factor with lol.

Torq I measure the entire length of the header as I would imagine it would be easier if the header was made like the 150cc motors do with just a drop and not all of this bending stuff. I think the header was 11 inches. My 50 cc header was 12" if memory servers I correct.....

I did not realize the joints were clean until Jeffro mentioned it I just it was like glass blowing and no joints lol

That bipe, hanging from your ceiling, ever since I saw the vid Kyle and his bipe, I have been looking for that plane. Is that it? Do you know where I can get one or the plans to build one. Could you tell me what it is even. Sorry, not trying to hijack but I have been looking for this plane for months. Just to get back on track, I am thinking about this BME-58 for my first gasser.
Take care;

Tom

Gotta contact info for Ol Karl in Canada? I may see if he can make me a couple of 2 into 1 headers for my EVO300.

Thanks,
