Default 50cc Edges

I'm looking to buy a 50cc size Edge ARF but first would like any info that any of you have about the ones avaliable."Pros and Cons"
I'd like to hear info on the quality of the kit and flight characteristics etc...
For a motor I'm going to be using a Fox 3.2 and Hitec servos for this application.
Again I'd like to hear it from the people out there instead of calling the companies that sell them and listen to how great their planes are to just try to make a sale.
Thanks Chris

Extreme Flight is releasing a 88" Edge. If it is anything like the Yak and Extra it will set a new benchmark. Extreme Flight News

If you're thinking about a composite plane... take a look at http://www.bvmprops.com

They have a 50cc sized Edge 540's. I have one of their 100cc planes, and it flies very well. It floats forever, but that's just the result of a good wing design. Very little pitch or roll coupling, and overall a good plane to build.

Ignore prices they show on the website... I've seen these selling for much less. Give them a call, and make them compete with other high-end wood planes.. they eventually will, and you won't regret the time invested.

I really enjoy my PAU 30% Edge. It flies very well and is grat at 3D. Flies light and the quality is outstanding including the control horns and push rods. You should really take a look at it.

I have 2 40% Carden Edges that fly great but at times get tired of hauling them around.Thats the reason for my interest in a 50cc class plane.Something I can put in the car and go.

I understand completely. I have been flying only 40% planes for the last 3 years and it has been a treat to be able to throw something in the car and go fly. I got this one so i don't have to risk my big planes down in the dirt and for 3D freestyle hucking.

Enjoy,

Dan

I like my PAU Edge 540. Here's the build thread: http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/f...540-build.html

Also.... the rainbows on the wing can easily be peeled off & blue ultrakote put down. The plane looks waaaaay better then!

I will get be taking some pictures of mine soon to post. I had Bad Brad Graphics cut me checkers that are in the shape of the rainbow stripes on the wing and stab. Looks pretty cool and Brad is reasonable. He has the dimensions.

BVM Props xtreme composite 2x2 is on special, you actually buy a yellow 2X6meter for less than the regular price of the 2x2. Only colors are yellow but awsome plane. I have all three edges and fly beautifully. I did make some mods lightening the planes with composite wing tube and landing gear, but have a heavier DA 55CS the plane balances great.
