Default Electrical system setup questions.

Hi gang,

I wanted to see if I could get some help in choosing an electrical system setup. It will be for a 35 - 50cc 3d ship. Will be a DL50 no matter which plane I go with and 4 Hitec 5985 for flight surfaces and 1 5955TG for rudder and 1 5645MG for throttle. Spektrum DX7 and AR7200 rx. I would like to try to stay as light as possible while still maintaining some redundancy. Here are two setups that I was thinking of, please let me know what I should add or take away.

1st setup which I like for simplicity and cost and has some redundancy:
Fromeco Wolverine switch (2 in 2 out)
Fromeco Sahara Regulator Deans in 2 JR out set at 5.8v (which would support the rx and ignition)
2 x 2600 Relions
Smart Fly ignition cutoff

2nd Setup:
Smart Fly Power System Sport Plus w/ pin and flag and charge jacks and optical kill
3 x 2600 Relions
Sahara Regulator w/ Futaba in JR out

I am new to the bigger scale so any help would be appreciated. From the little that I know, I feel the first setup would be plenty for a 50cc plane and also provides redundancy with light weight.

Would I be asking for trouble if I just went with one A123 battery for rx and one a123 batt for ignition, 2 switches and the smartfly optical cutoff. I know I would have the redundancy of two batts but is it really needed on a 50cc?

With 2.4 radio system, bat redundancy is a good thing.

After talking with Robert at Smart Fly this evening, this is the set up suggested for my 50cc Yak.

Just give him a call, oor e-mail, it sure would have saved me some time with deciding what I needed.

It's just a 50cc plane. Don't overthink the power system, and DEFINITELY don't overweigh it. People are recommending power systems that you could use in a 40% plane!
Run dual A123 1100's through a wolverine switch into the rx and power the ignition off the same. This would be an 8 ounce power system with more than enough power. Want a little extra assurance? Plug in a Fromeco DC-up at under 1 ounce.

thanks but i not sure you say that use the same batteries of the receiver and the same switch to give power to the ignition?? this connection can giveme some interference

thanks
