Holy Schnikies , Saturday was off the hook!
Well Saturday at the Snap a Huckfest is coming to an end (sort of) and MAN what a day. Flying commenced at 8am and ran until the rain hit. Tons of flights, a pile of gaggle hovers and even a few tragedies took place, it was a proper HUCKFEST in every sense. New friends were made, old friends flew together and some Bad Ass New England Hucking took place.
The day ended a bit early when a weather front moved in, and we took the trip over to Snap A Saurus's house for the evening activities. Back yard hucking, a belly dancer, and a snake.. please show a little respect as the crew tried in vein to save this pilot. he and the plane were pronounced dead at 2:20 pm est. everthing was done to save him but off the hook full on wing cutting head on knife edge crashes dont end well...wait until you see the rest of the story. i will not ruin it with out the full perspective of our new found hero.

someone give us the details on the matt chapman with only one wing there is pictures of it in the air and on the ground so I figure since it is not a pile of wood their is like some sort of bill hemple style landing. please tell!!

A 35% H9 260 had just dunked it's tail in the pool and was pulling out vertically when the Chapman Cap was making a low pass. The motor appeared to be ripped clean form the Extra and the Cap lost its wing. After a few (getting used to flying with one wing" passes, the Cap pilot did an unbelievable Hemple in the grass. Definitely a crowd pleaser although sad to see two nice planes destroyed
