I believe it was one of the RDRC club members, but I can't recall his name.

They will be posting all the prizes and who won them on the fly for tots website.

I can't even begin to have a favorite part of the show. Whether it was the cool planes like the 110" EF Yak(Lee somebody??), or Andy Kane's 50% Hempel Cub, to the Outlaw gaggle, Sgt. Flannagan's (spellin??) reenlistment show center, raising over (censored) for the VJG, or even hangin out with old friends, the 2008 RDRC Fly For Tots was the best even that I can remember attending. Thanks to RDRC and everyone involved for making this event possible, also, thanks to all the sponsors for everything that they've done to make this a great event! With that being said, I'll shut up and let someone else tell it like it is.

Chris

p.s. Is it next year yet?

I don't think that there is enough space to thank the people that made this possible but all I can say is THANK YOU FOR THE FUN AT SUCH A GREAT EVENT! Also, the RDRC crew always know how to put on a great event. Jay your friend was the S*(t!!!!!!!!!!!! Also Andy Kane with that cub!! (priceless) I don't know how you guys are going top yourselves next year. What maybe give a full scale plane away!LOL!!JK! Thanks again for such a great time and I only was there on Sunday. Looking foward to next year. Should be able to make it both days. Hope to have the ultimate then!!!

I would like to thanks all of the pilots that came out to the fly-in this weekend. There are no words that we as RD-RC members can say. With out all the pilots and sponsors this event will not take place. Larry will have much more to come on this event. There are many stories from this years event. If you have one please tell it.

Thank You

The Grand Prize winner was Jim Page of Raleigh, NC. Jim had been away from the hobby for several years and recently decided to start flying again so he joined RDRC. What an intro to giant scale!

What a great event!!! Even with over 200 pilots, the wait for a pilot station was never longer than 3-4 minutes. The entire RDRC crew were amazing, and of course the field was in great shape...well, all except for one little patch of grass, but they had a very good reason to leave that patch alone...

There was also alot of cooperation between pilots...anytime you can get lightweight slowflyers in the air with 40% 3d ships, 1/4 scale warbirds, and a 50% cub all at the same time, and not have any problems, well, you know you are at a first class event.

Can't wait to hear the total raised for Victory Junction, and I am looking forward to next year!

As I was pulling up Sat. Morning, I told the wife look they are already packed and its only 8:30am. I knew right there that this year was going to top all so far. I can't begin to say what this Charity means to me, I know what it means to these kids to be able to go to this camp and how much joy it brings them and that is one of the best gifts in the world. It is wonderful to see so many people come together to support such a great cause. So from a heavy heart thanks to all the RDRC members and sponsor's that has made this event what it is!!!! You all have really done something special!! As all ways it was a pleasure to be there and to share it and the sky with everyone, looking forward to next year!

FFT08 is in the books and one I'll remember for a long time. Pigs flew. The president of the AMA came. Elvis (almost) left the building. Vets were honored. New friends were made. Old friends embraced. Foamy mornings. Film Fest evenings. Planes. Helis. Kids. Fly Low Girls... and we made a difference. Going over $25k is just mind boggeling. Hats off to all involved for a world class event. Like the recent video says...FFT is a big-time, big-hearted BIG-DEAL! And big as it is, is there any doubt next year will be BIGGER?

Higher Plane captured about 12 hours of HD footage over the event. We have about 5 hours posted so far on FlightPass and lots more to come:

http://flightpass.higherplaneproduct...2_itemId=12544

I've also started a photo gallery. BTW, you do not need to be a FlightPass member to view the photos, they are here:

http://flightpass.higherplaneproduct...2_itemId=12940

Once again, congrats to Robert, Larry, RDRC and everyone involved for this significant contribution to our sport, our community and the special kids at VJGC. -Fred

It was an awesome event. I met a lot of great people at the RDRC FLY for TOTS this weekend. It was wonderful to see so many people come out for such a great cause. It was a perfect weekend and tons of great flying. I hope to make it there next year.
It was worth the 8 hour ride from NJ, that I took with Lee Morey.
Here are a few pictures I took.
