You can count me in. Sorry I'm not a big Helli fan though. Oh and dont forget to invite the guy with the clown suit that juggles.

I felt the same way about Chip Hyde, I thought Garrett Morrison was much more fun to watch, IMO.

I hope everyone considering going to this event has seen this thread. I hope everyone knows that 3D flying has been banned from this event.
I'm afraid that some haven't seen this thread, and will still show up at the event expecting to fly or watch 3D flying.

Those of you that have seen this thread, please let all of your flying buddies know.

I'm sorry if some didn't get the word. I tried to let everyone know.

I'll give you that he is not the world's best 3D pilot, but I wouldn't bet my dead dog against him when it comes to precision, in giant scale and especially pattern. I have mad respect for him as a pilot and a person, but he doesn't care much for the 3D stuff, and it shows in his flying - but it is not because he can't outfly whoever it is you say is better than him - he just doesn't care to. He'd rather do a horizon-to-horizon 8 point roll on the deck that would score a 9 or better if being judged. He is a very technical flyer.

I agree, he was VERY precise. I loved in the beginning of his routine his rythem matched the music. The rest was just kind of boring to me, but different strokes for different folks.

watch him fly precision in high winds - boring or not, his skillz represent in such situations.

Without a doubt he is a damn good pilot. Never said he wasn't. And when it comes to precision he is second to none.

Well, we may not have to worry about who's right and wrong here, who's going and who's not....the weather appears to be taking care of that for us.

Yup, I'm afraid this event is completely ruined now.

From talking with people, replies on this thread, PM's I've received, and e-mails I've received, I know of more than 30 pilots that were not going to attend this event because of the ban on 3D flying. There were probably several more pilots that I didn't know of that were not going to attend either.

I'm guessing that there were probably 25 to 30 circle flyer pilots that were still planning to attend the event though. It's supposed to rain today and tomorrow, and there's still some chance of rain on Sunday. I think this will keep the circle flyers away.

Now nobody will be there.

Well, since its been raining for the past 40 hours....

See what happens when you ban 3D flying?
God just doesnt give a s**t about your event anymore.

Even he knows circle flying is a sin.
