Perhaps put Aeroworks in the title so people who might not look will?

thats when my wing blew apart. the spar tube was still in one piece

The sequences can really be hard on a plane - usually under full throttle on uplines and then snapping - gotta be a lot of load - would love to put telemetry on one with load meters in different areas to know for sure - I'm defenitely not a aerospace engineer.

Yes. it was a simple fix and very effective given the circumstances. If you did not receive yours yet it may be because you are not the original purchaser or you did not purchase yours from one of the later containers - earlier versions of this plane apparently did not have this problem.
if you never received a call from Aeroworks but you think you need the addendum, give them a call and see if they can work it out.
It is just a 24" long piece of balsa dowel that you glue into the center of the tube with titebond wood glue.

I Ordered the plane from Rocko himself, they called me and told me to ground my plane. I called them yesterday and they told me that they hadn't recieved the inserts from China yet. A friend of mine has gotten two of the inserts and Kim told me that they were shipping them out 2 weeks ago. I was jus wondering because no one in this thread is complaining about not flying, so i was wondering if theirs have already been sent out. They also told me that they were going send out some to people who had contests and demos to attend. I told Aeroworks that i had a demonstration coming up the following week at the Pensacola Naval Aviation Museum and I still hadn't recieved one.

I am glad to see AW got you guys a temporary fix so you can keep flying. Any word on when you will recieve a new and improved tube and if the newer kits have it?

Honestly this is a pretty weak argument. These are 40mm wing tubes that were manufactered with the wall to thin. All y'all have to do is have new 40mm tubes made with a thicker wall and it will fit ALL your 40% planes with defective tubes. I know I'm not the only person with one of these $1900 arfs that thinks this is a chicken sh#t fix.

Let's go to the field and stress test that thin tube! I agree and feel others would too, that they should just get thicker tubes and start sending them out as replacements. Just don't change the outside diameter and make the wall thicker to the inside. I would buy a new tube and send them the bill, unless they get off their ass and replace them. Adding a piece of wood inside the tube is just going to cause the stress to be on the area where the wood plug edge is. There's no way I would fly with that crap in there. Send these guys new, thicker tubes before they lose an expensive airplane. The wood plug idea is without a doubt a chickenst fix, and possibly the dumbest idea next to using duct tape.

I'm sorry, but how hard is it to get tubing with the same outside diameter and bigger wall thickness?
***? We use all kind of tubing here, not much 1.5", but everything smaller, no matter what the WT, the OD is always the same,,,
