They go together very well. The only difficult part is getting a nice fit around the wing since it is a socket fit. Once you get by that it's just another airplane.

Craven,
Like I said before, I don't disagree with you. But i do have an advantage due to the fact that I work right down the street from his shop. So if there is a problem I don't have far to go. Rob

Well *****, I'm gonna post this from the hip. I'm going to post some positives, something that has been in short supply lately. I have been hangin' around with John Sharpless, Rob Joyner, Tony Russo, John Nelon, Mike Milos and others for the better part of 3 years now. I have had some of the absolute best times in RC with these guys. That being said, I was at ground zero and watched an atom bomb go off and fragment a lot of friendships. I have always remained the nuetral in all the things that went down, most of the time telling the guys that I'd rather not know whats going on. After an IMAC event Nelon suggested I put a Swedish flag as my signature line cause I just don't get involved in the minutia... I did, and it still stands. I live 10 minutes from Aerotech, 10 minutes from Daltons old location and 5 minutes from Competition Airframes and up until lately I spent a lot of time at Aerotech and CA. Not one of the guys I mentioned aboved have ever so much as "sighed" when I asked for a favor, help, or even just advise. It has always been the contrary, they normally drop whatever they are doing to help me, I might take some ribbing in the process but every one of them have given 110% to help. I am also finishing up a 35% Aerotech Extra. John Sharpless and Rob Joyner both pitched in their time, service and friendship to build and cover that airplane for me (tutoring and making fun of me most of the way through it but damn was it good times, sometimes till 1:00 in the morning). That 35% build originated from Rob Joyner letting me fly his 35%, it flys great...Midnightdreamer is now enjoying it. John Nelon has spent a lot of time helping me set up my 42%, calling for me and coaching me through this years IMAC season and I am very grateful. Looking forward to next year being even more fun. I've also been pimping him to help me with the 35% setup as well. Tony Russo has helped me many times on projects both RC related and not, always answered the phone and been there to help.

As for how the Aerotech airplanes fly, I fly the 42% Aerotech Extra in IMAC it flys awesome allowing me to focus on the sequence without worrying about fighting the airplane. I know for a fact that there are quite a few trophys and plaques around that were won with Aerotech airplanes.

The point of my post is, before passing judgment on anyone or joining in on the bashing, take the time to talk to them. I would hate to think people think/speak/type badly of me that have never spoken to or met me. An atom bomb like the one that fragged a bunch of friendships down here almost de ja vu'd to destroy the FFAA.

Again, I have some of the best friends in this hobby that anyone could ask for, and unfortunately some don't talk to each other. I gotta tell ya it sucks being the meat in that sandwich. There are good and bad traits in everyone. Life is too short and this hobby is too freakin awesome to be negative. Again, this is my opinion, and we all know what they say about opinions. I don't have a wall full of IMAC trophys or 100 build threads, so my street cred is low but take it for what it's worth. I'm off to take the family out to eat greasy pork with the Joyners.

Nice speech Steve. I hope you got paid for that endorsement.

But, on the contrary, it's hard for someone in Iceland or Idaho or Canada or California (just to name a few) to talk to Aerotech when he ignores them. Lucky you that you can knock on his door. Too bad for anybody who doesn't live close and can't do that. Those are just a few of the people who ended up getting ripped off by this thief and his lying, deceitful ways.

Craven's thought of the day: If it happened before, it will happen again.

Are you serious? If you were, wouldn't it be Endorsements? Do you think Aerotech, Dalton, Competition Airframes, and friends of mine got together and said "hey, I know we don't all get along but let's get Steve to post props to all of us...and, oh yea, let's pay him too"? That's rich. If that was sarcasm, I missed it.

Perhaps you should reread my 3rd to the last sentence. Just because my experiences have been different, doesn't mean they are wrong. I'm not saying people haven't had bad experiences, I was simply posting mine.

Seriously Steve is a good friend of mine as well as Rob Joyner and John Nelon. I admire Steve for not wanting to get in the middle of anything that went on between myself and John S. Steve was only trying to tell people of his expierence with Aerotech and thats what the original poster asked for. I will add that living in the same city as Aerotech would probally be a benefit to you if you chose to do business with him.

Steve,
The title of this thread is about an Aerotech product. He is the one who has ripped off a bunch of people.

Rob Joyner (Competition Airframes) and Tony Russo (Dalton) are good businessmen with outstanding reputations and they don't deserve to be included in the same sentence as Aerotech.

That's Craven (and others) point. They have tried to contact him to speak to him. E-mails, voice mails, letter.......all went unanswered.

.......Mark

P.S. When you click on your Swedish flag Steve it opens up Aerotech's website. Should we not consider that an endorsment as well?

Fair enough. As Tony said, I just posted my experience.

That's funny and something that must have been that way for nearly a year, the flag was put there to replace any endorsements. When I did that I just googled a Swedish flag and pasted it on my sig line. I don't know how to change a picture that is a link, to just a picture, I don't see a URL anywhere. Flag completely removed to protect me from deeper conspiracy theories.

I had a buddy with a 34 pound (literally) 35% Yak. It was a complete turd. rolled good, didnt do much else well. And yes, I logged several flights on it before I decided it was an overweight turd when built stock. He sold it to another guy in my club, that did himself a favor and put it in, and went on to something else.
