I think it could be an Aeroworks Edge.

Come on guys, its an extra 260 Look closely at the wings, they taper back like an extra. Use the bottom of the photo as a ref. and you can see the wings have a taper, if that does not work look at the red on the wings and how the distance between the the white and red gets smaller as you go to the wingtips indicating that the leading edge is tapering out towards the tip. The canopy looks like a 260 also. Its impossible to know the manufacturer at this point as it could have been recovered but its def an extra IMHO.

I agree, it looks a lot like the AW 29%. I can't tell from the pic, but if the elevator is flat(not airfoiled) then it probably is. What's the wing span? The AW was 87" I believe....

Here's a couple pics of my AW Edge.

I agree it is an EXTRA. (refer to post #10) Not so sure it is a 260 though.
more pics, we're ready for double jeapordy where the scores can really change!

Sorry Tim your right you did already say it was an extra, I say 260 because of the canopy being small like a 260 and the non counterbalanced elevators.

An Extra 300 doesn't have counterbalances either. Neither does a 300S or 300L for that matter.

True but the non CB elevators with a small canopy is why I said its a 260. I really dont know what it is but is def. not an edge as most everyone was saying.

But it is hard to even tell if it has a short canopy in the picture.

Jim Van Loo Extra 230? Does it have wings with two spars instead of a tube?

The H9 Edge had a straight leading edge. They are tapered of course but all of the sweep is in the TE. The pic isnt clear enough to tell if the LE is actually swept back or if that is just a function of the angle of the photo.
If it is the H9, the elev has been recovered and all of the red stripes replaced, they are too wide. Its not an Extra 230, it had flat tail surfaces. Its not an EX 300 the canopy is too short. Its not an EX 300S, or 330 the wing is too high. If it is an Extra it would be either a 260 or a 300 Special wiich is pretty obscure (its a single place 300)
