If you want instant gratification; buy an arf. If you want a great all around airplane; build a Carden or Dalton......

How much control surface throw can one get out of the new comp.-arf's these day's? Are they still limited to about 45°?

If you like composite you certainly need to check out the new Krill-Model 100cc sukhoi 29 and the 100cc katana.

Comp-arfs still only get about 45 degrees of throw max. But Krills get about 55 degrees!

I'm currently building a 100cc Krill Katana.

When will they learn at comp-arf.

I would not enjoy flying IMAc with a plane that has 55 degree elevator travel on low rates. Bad servo resolution. It's bad enough at 45 degrees. Besides, when do you need more than 45? walls and waterfalls are fine at 45. I have a 3 meter 330 and it does them fine.

In IMAC, your servo resolution story is totally right. But in 3D 45 degrees sometimes just doesn't do the trick for me.

Take a look at the Aeroworks Extra 260 also. Fast builds and great quality, but might come out a little heavy.

I have the EF 110" and like others have said its really hard to beat if you want a 100cc Yak.
If the yak is not your thing then I would look hard at the H9 Extra...Its a great flying plane as well..
