Thanks.

Donald's has free shipping on any order over $100. Great customer service, if you email them on the weekend for a quote, he will email back the same day. I can't say enough good about them....

Unless they are having one of their occasional blowout type sales, I've always been able to beat their prices somewhere else.

I can't say I've had the same experience with Donald's Hobby.

I backordered a 12X from him based on input I'd seen here on FG about customer service. He was good about letting me know what was going on when I asked, including telling me I was #2 on the list for the radio.

When they were shipped from Horizon, he told me he was getting six radios but didn't know where I was on his list. Then he wouldn't answer e-mails anymore nor phone messages. I finally caught him on the phone after he'd had the radios for four days and he gave me some lame excuse for not shipping mine, that he couldn't find a box.

Then a few other guys who'd ordered 12X's from him after I did, got their radios.

I finally got the radio, but he had it sitting in his shop for a week and the fact that he didn't answer e-mails or phone calls about a $1400.00 purchase kind of chapped me off. When it did come, the packaging was such that it was a good thing JR had it packaged in something sturdy as his packaging was really poor.

Now don't tell me I got it cheaper as I could have purchased it from one of several sources I've dealt with before for the same price, but figured it wouldn't hurt to have another source for GS stuff.

Never again from Donald's....

Yes, they will work with any tranmitter that is compatible with the receiver that the servo is connected too. The older programmer works with these servos. You only need the new programmer for the new features.

The HFP-10 programmer will set everything but the high resolution and overload protection of the 7955's per Mike Mayberry of Hitec USA. The HFP-20 is required to set those functions on the new 7XXX series servos.

There are some issues with the Hitec servos on Futaba 6014 FASST rx's since it uses a 2.7 volt signal rather than the more common 3.0 volt or above. I've seen some posts indicating that Hitec either has already, or is working on a fix. Just like they did when Futaba came out with the R149DP rx's and the sinking voltage change in that rx caused problems with Hitec servos, but Hitec came out with a fix for that as well...

FYI: The 7955 is defaulted to high resolution and you can program them in this mode with the Hfp-10 but you are limited to a maximum travel of 60 degrees in each direction; anything past that is only capable with the HFP-20 but then it must be set to low res.

There are no current issues with any of the 7XXX series servo with the Futaba FAAST systems.

Mike.

Anyone had their 5955's lock up? I have had two lock up in the past month, beginning to worry about the others now.
