Glad you discovered how great the qq planes are, my friend flies aeroworks they are very good as i said you make you're choices and spend you're money. On the pins on the 86 i just use a small pair of locking pliers to push pin in, its so simple its a real non issue.

I hope your back gets better i have sufferd for 20 years with chronic back pain so i understand your issue, never stops me flying though watching the yak fly is the best relaxation ever.

I would still like to see some actual pics of the Gen. IV, it looks very nice from what I can tell on the website. I hope someone will come on and post some, I had a couple and they got erased by mistake.

We had our club fly in and I only flew once due to I really couldn't stand for the pain, any way a friend of mine had the QQ Python in the Kimball scheme, this thing is awesome! I love the way it flies, I just can't fit the thing into my Nissan Xterra or I would have it. I don't think that I would go wrong with any QQ plane after seeing the Python and also one of the 50cc Yaks there, Both flew extremely well and construction looked great! I'm just mostly on light duty at work, trying to heal up.
If the QQ Python will not fit the other planes will not fit as well.

The only reason the Python will not fit is that is doesn't have removeable stabs on it, the Yak does so I can revove the stabs and slide the tail between the seats on the console and it will fit fine. If needed be I can deflect the rudder all the way but I don't see that I would have to.

hi guys,

just so ya know haven't heard anybody trying a twin in the 101, well let me tell ya the bme 110 fits in the cowl just fine and balances perfect! using standard muff's it's got ignorant power, ie: more power than batman, superman, spiderman and the incredible hulk put together! and is actually a tad lighter than the da-85 with a pipe. just wanted to let ya know that's the twin that works on this plane.

Granted, build/finish quality isn't everything, though. And if I were in The market for a 100cc yak, I don't even think the aeroworks would even be on my list, and the qq would be at the top of it. But I am only interested in all out flight perfomance on a 100cc plane - how it looks on the ground doesn't mean much to me

I have owned two AW 100cc planes the Extra 260 and still have the Yak 54 and love the quality of these planes I have also owned the Comp-Arf 260 all with DA 100's, the question I have for you is I think that the AW are of excellent fit and finish, everything lines up well and fits great. I believe the question in the original post was as to the durability of the QQ as apposed to the AW. (will the QQ stand up over several years of use) I am now considering the QQ 120" Yak or the Comp-Arf 3 meter 260 or AW 260 42%, I have read several of your responses on Flying Giants and you seem to be very knowledgabe and I value your opinion. So here goes, seeing that you personally like the AW and QQ but you have neither what planes would you recommened to buy, that has excellent fit and finish and will stand up to the duration of heavy 3D flight over the years. What planes do you personally fly in the 40% range that you feel are superior airframes. And I'm looking for Fit and Finish, Flight performance, and longevitity to be considered in your decision. Please list approx in order of preference.
Thanks
