No one can answer this question? Is an oversized spinner a problem?

It should fly fine, it will just be a cosmetic imperfection.

Cranet,
It is 10: 30 CDT here in Texas and I am wide awake......... I can't sleep and it's all because of your spinner being the wrong size. How can you possibly subject your fellow Flying Giant brethren to an off-size spinner situation? It's stuff like this that will lead to buying lots of different spinners next.... Then we'll turn to heavy drinking and probably stop going to church. You want this kind of stuff on your conscience? I didn't think so! Put that four inch schnozola back in the box and send off to get the right size. All of us are counting on you, son. Don't let us down! We know that you're a bigger man than this and will do the right thing....... (LOL!)

I think the plane would look hideous with a 1/2" oversize spinner. I ordered a Pete's 4" spinner for my GP 27% Edge (which requires a 4" spinner), but the Pete's came in and is actually 4-1/4". It looks stupid because it overhangs the cowl 1/8" all the way around. So I'll be sending it back and ordered a Mezjlik which, I am told, is actually 4".

Your oversize spinner won't be a performance issue, but only you can determine if you can stand the way it looks. Since you're asking, I'd find a 3.5" spinner. Should be many easy to find.

I have OCD about these kinds of things. Get the proper spinner diameter. I can't stand to have a plane with the incorrect spinner size. My dad thinks I'm crazy, but it's up 2 you. If you think it looks right, then keep it. No perf. issues.
