Default The End of an Old Glider

In light of the recent great theraml activity in ky.... iv been flying this old plane a bit more...

Well as a modeler i knew the day would come... A little history on this plane first off. I have had this old spectra/spirit for about 6 years now it was my first 'real' rc plane it was owned by several other folks before i got it. it has served me well, and yet it hits its greatest thermal just last week.... some say i should rebuild. i think my 25 $ investment has served me well. heres how it happend
got into 2 big thermals and had 15-20 minits on both flights, on the last flight the lift was goofy it was up really strong then fall like a rock.. back and forth, then 30 -40 ft up it flips inverted( 2 ch glider rolled inverted.... rud-ele only) i was wth!! nose dive.. crunch dead center on the runway about 15 ft from a group flying a power plane hahah,... the hard clay was not forgiving.. but it faired better then i though. all this happend i was still about 60 yards away walking back from the histart toss point.. after the 'NTSB' investigation i found the rudder horn off the servo and the servo struts broke,, this i beleave to be result of the impact.. just had to share the days events heres a pic or two.. sorry no camera with me at the field today
