The Xtreme Composites Edge/Planes plus/BVM edge is a great flying plane, but kind of small for 100cc's. I mean it seems to fly very nice, but sitting next to other 100cc planes it is small.

Kitman on the site has one, and loves it, with 100's of flights on it.

Hope that helps.

I've got one, CSpaced is working on his second.

It is a little shorter than the CompARF, but sleeker and faster. The build is almost identical to a CompARF, I've heard that they are made in the same factory, but who knows?

The only "big" difference, if you want to call it that, between the two builds, is that the CA already has the canopy mounting tabs installed and canopy holes drilled in the fuse... on the Xtreme Composites, you need to mount the tabs and drill the holes... takes about an hour.

I'm very pleased with mine. I got the Fantasy scheme about a year ago, paid about $1200 plus freight. I know there are some of the schemes selling from BVM for a lot less right now... Based on price alone, if I were in the market for a 100cc I'd give the BVM/Xtreme Composites a very hard look!

Mine weighed in at about 27 pounds, but I wasn't particularly trying to build it light.

We've got probably half a dozen Comp ARF 260's at our field... and only 1 Xtreme Composites Edge 540... it gets positive comments every time I take it out.

In the air, it takes just a littke elevator and aileron to hold a steady knife edge, there's plenty of throw to do about anything you want. It will elevator all the way to the ground with nothing but elevator... rock solid.

Looks like I am gonna pick up a BVM Edge (NIB) and a 3W 106 with CF Cans. This should be a fun plane.

Kitman has like 15 RTF planes ranging from 30%'ers, to a 3.3 M Comp Arf YAK, and he is always flying his little 100cc XC edge.
Just sayin.

Its built to balance nicely with cans (like most composite planes), so build it that way, and you won't be dissapointed!

I may swap the 106 for my BME 115 with cans. Drop a few pounds off the total weight. I can put the 106 into my 34% Chip Hyde Extra

I saw a 43% PAU Edge fly this weekend. Awesome Plane. flies very very light. I am sure the 36% flies just as good.

THE PAU edge 540 is a sweet plane. Its a perfect size, and with a DA 100 its a sweet imac plane and 3d plane. It handles real wel in the wind. And the service is top notch.

Wild Hare should be bringing their 35% Edge to market in the next month or two. Not composite but well made, light, and flies great. Plus the price is generally lower than anyone else. Another bonus should be the availability of a new 116cc twin from 3mm that's even with the DA 100 (or lighter) to turn into an ultra combination deal. The release dates should be pretty close to the same. I do know the W/H 35% Edge does all the big moves you will ask of it with a DA 85, so weight gets even better if you don't want to buy a big twin.
