The castrol scheme looks much better in person then in the pic
Who did you buy it from? I see that BVMProps is no longer distributing them, just selling the last of the replacement parts they have on the shelf. I have the new red house scheme and I'm wondering about replacement parts if needed in the future. I hear the manufacturer in Thailand is difficult to contact at times.

I have had my XC 540 for two years now and love it no problems. It does not like to slow down but thats ok. I just talked to Bob Violet at a jet show a few weaks ago and he says that we can go straight to XC for what ever we need.

This is where I purchased my XC 540 33% from, they also have the spares. Flies like a dream. Replaced all the control horns with carbon fibre and all the linkages with good quality heavy duty ball joints.

every one of these planes that i have seen, and been lucky to be able to OPP fly, i have really liked. they are just 3D monsters. i agree with one of the previous posts about their inability to slow down really well but other than that they are a blast! if you can manage not to tear the gear out, they are virtually indestructable!

just my $.02.

I make evey landing approach at about a 50 degree angle. It makes you you good at cross wind landings. It takes alittle but you get used to it. If you don't side slip it you will go around.
