DA2000 (Dan),

I plan to fly Wichita, Tulsa, and Sherman. Maybe Dallas but it just 1 week before Sherman. I might try Waco if things go well.

See you around,

Dan

I am wondering if any one knows the name of the plane and maybe the company that made the kit and or arf. I doubt it was an arf thou beacuse it looks like it was built up.

Thanks for the Help!
Jon

here's a Walt Moucha kit built PJ295.

Nach,
You are right about the Dario B Skybolt..... The cabane comes together at the top wing on a 'Bolt. The 'Bolt also has "I" struts instead of "N" struts. The cowl on a 'Bolt has a pronounced upward hump above the spinner. The vertical fin/rudder assembly is more rounded on the Skybolt. I have one in the garage and the "I" strut on the right side is autographed by none other than Lamar Steen who saw me fly it at an airshow a bazillion years ago. He approached me refering to my bipe as an old "stovebolt" and I, not knowing who he was told him that "Mr. Steen might not like him calling it that." He then gave me his business card and told me he thought Mr. Steen might just approve just this once! We had a nice chat and then he autographed the "I" strut. The 'Bolt remains sanded down and ready for a new cover job. My project for the winter...........

So what is my assessment of the plane in the first post? It's blue and yellow and it ain't a 'Bolt! It is also not anywhere near a Pitts of any type, an Ultimate, a Marquardt Charger, etc. The tail outline and the swept top wing/ straight bottom wing lend itself to a Liberty Sport but the cowl openings just aren't right for that. It could be a mix of a bunch of plane parts but only the builder would know, I guess.....
