Default Comp-ARF extra 260 2.6m came at 23lbs with the new DA 100,what a monster!!!!!!

I finished and flew my Com-ARF extra 260 with a total weight of 23 pounds! with the new DA 100, I am impresed with the performance of this machine, plus I never expected it to came out this light, of course I did everything I had to do to get it to weight 23 lbs.
I used Jtech compact mufflers, changed the original landing gear (heavi) for a graphtech of similar measurments(saved 4 ounces), used single 8711's on ailerons and rudder, 3 fromeco relions 2600mha 2 for receiver and 1 for ignition, PT models CF 4.5' spiner, foam wheels, CF tail gear and CF wing tube(saved 8 ounces). The total weight of this setup was 23 lbs, the plane realy performs well on 3D and IMAC.

That sure is light! Bet it flys like a dream.

How did you get all the long elliptical shaped cut outs so straight?

I drew them first using a rule, and then I carefuly cuted them with a dreemel and a cutting disc, and the rounded ends I did them with the dreemel and a small sanding drum!!!!!!!

I did that because I didnt want to really make a huge hole in such a nice cowling and good loocking plane, but I sure needed to make an opening for engine cooling so I decided to go that way after a couple of days thinking on how I was going to do it!!!!!
