Clover Creek 2008!

Hello from Clover Creek.

Well we are here and plan to help cover the event for you
all that could not make it.

So far the field is incredible…
There are 2 flight lines practicing like mad.

All the pilots look like they are as polished as can be.
We got a taste of some of the free style yesterday and today.

Remember this is different than the shoot out.

The invitational pilot have to fly free style every day as it is part of their total score.

With this much cash on the line I bet we are set for a real monster of a flying event.

(Hey guys Sleepy here, we have several guys heading down that should be taking tons of pictures and reporting with scores as much as possible, so check back often, we should have new info up as it comes in! FG wishes all the pilots GOOD LUCK! Make each flight count!)

I will be posting updates from the Unlimited flightline throughout the contest.
I believe one pilot from each class will be reporting in this thread so stay tuned.

Pilots meeting is finished.
We we treated to a surprise full scale airshow!
The Pitts flew over the field and scared us all to death because we didnt know it was coming.
The another plane showed up and they flew around together for a little bit.
VERY COOL!!!

Unknows are handed out and the pilot order is set.
Flying starts ar 8:00am.

well, one problem on an otherwise GREAT day. Andrew caught the fence after an untimley flame out. Think he is flying a borrowed plane that Mark had borrowed that lost a stab on Tuesday of Erics.
Bummer but I am sure they will make the most of it.
Another great dinner tonight after the judges and pilots meeting. Thanks for a good airshow/meeting.
Flying 2 sequence knowns in the morning followed by unknowns, then invitationals.

Sol told me he was going to do that to ya'll : )

Hope to get out there by about 2 to watch for a few hours. Nice having a competition like this in your back yard : )

SUCKS to hear about Andrew's mishap. Anything you guys can post is appreciated for those of us who couldn't make the event. Keep it up!

supposd to be a very busy day Friday. 2 sequence baby classes, unknowns, inv knowns single sequences, unknowns, freestylèthen another round of baby classes!
Going to be a late one.

Hey Donnie,

THe Kroma 180 is a beat here in TN. It loves the thick cool (cooler then AZ) air and I beleive the field is around 400 feet above sea level. I hope my fingers work as well as the engine is working:-)
