Default My take on Toledo.

WOW!!! I've been going there for a few years now, well, actually 14. Never did I think that I would be able to watch live coverage of an event online. Mad PROPS to FG staff for that!!!

Met up with the POSSE` on Saturday. Max, Huckin, Sleepy, Biff, Jeremy, and cameraman Joey! We decide that it is lunchtime!!! We hop into the Sleepy ride. He's got kids, so he's gots a minivan!!!! Cruzin Toledo, not findin' any place good to eat. Down thru the ghetto and the projects. We head back to downtown. Find Spaghetti Wharehouse. GIANTS, party of 8!!!! My most favorite comment of the lunch had to be................ STUPID SOUP!!!! C'Mon, Maxxy boy..... It'll be alright!!! Naaa, man. That soup is pissin me off!!!! I wish I would have had my camera there with me..... Would have been a Max-umentous pic!!! Good grub there, BTW!!! Back at the show, we walk around a bit, and chill. FG crew dissmisses themselves to the Games, while I chill at Tony Pacos with some of my friends, namely, my pops!!! Head up to the auction, chill there, and then call it a nite.

Sunday comes, and alot less crowd, but still gangbusters of people around. Show starts to thin out about noonish. Ok, since I have a bird in the show(Aerobatic, MonoKote) I have to chill out there till show closes at 3p. I went there with NO expectations of winning anything, but everyone told me that I would walk out of there with some reckogination. Boy, it surely shocked my all the hell when they announced my name for 2nd place Aerobatic!!!! Completely speechless, and awe struck!!! Pics to follow. Need to go home and resize them to post here!!

Thanks everyone on the compliments on my bird. I kept this thing under pretty tight lock and key. Only a few people knew what I was doing!!!

But anyways, I ended up buying some screws(metric, for my JR servos), a Fuchs Freestyle 28x10, Carden tail bags for my Extra, and a Hacker A20 50S for the Sypher!!! Now, time to get the Sypher done!!!

I can finally sit back and relax and say thank god Toledo is over!!!! Would I do 3 days again?? Maybe!!! 2 days defiantely!!!

Pics to follow, y'all!!

Chris~

Dude if you would have stuck with the 3D crowd, instead of hanging out with the 80+ year old war bird guys disscussing the finer points of smoking pipes while wet warping balsa to achive "scale details" on your Bear Cat, you might have been at LUNCH!
