Actually... FUTABA sells a little gizmo that will turn a single channel into 8 channels and the 14MZ is the only system to support it.. (That I know of)
With the !$MZ, you can run two of these units resulting in 28 channels. And it provides 8 proportional channels... not just on or off channels... |

The 12Z also supports this. Note that these extra channels are time multiplexed and therefore very very slow.
