[quote=dunny;559674 I hope some day we can step outside the left and the right and find some common ground with someone that is in between that everyone can agree on- always so polarizing talking about politics- everyone thinks they are right and the other person is wrong.[/quote]
Dunny, They might be listed as Republicans but I think you just hit on something............. McCain/Palin looks pretty "in the middle" of left and right. Obama can talk but he can't lead. The only people willing to follow this wannabe will be the ones with the glazed-over look on their faces. The problem with all that glaze? You can't see what's right for this Country and what Obama stands for is change that will benefit him. The by-product of that: This Country goes to the dogs. After last night, I'll go along with the dogs under one condition........... A maverick and his lip-sticked pit bull gets to lead the way! LOL! WT

That's what this is all about! We want to know what YOU think whether its different from what we think or not. This forum would have been shut down at page one in the old days...... The majority of Americans have been aching to have their voices heard for a long time. Give us what you got! Maybe you'll hit on something we haven't heard. A new perspective is always welcome......... WT |

The only thing I see they want is a nanny state that total controls their lives so they don't have to think or take personal responsibility; and gives them something for nothing. The libs keep saying that bush is evil... what is the evil. Well the only one thing I can think of is ... not closing the borders and stopping the illegal invasion 8 years ago!

There was a very news-worthy case earlier this year where a man shot and killed a couple of perps (illegals??) in Texas when they were breaking into his neighbors house.. seems it's LEGAL to shoot burglars in Texas. . .in order to protect your neighbors home and property. I wonder. . does the same Law apply to breaking into businesses or vehicles or garages? Next time you find that truck .. flatten a tire. . . .a pocket knife is plenty. . ripping out the tire valve with a pair of pliers deflates the tire in about 5 seconds (if you do not want to replace the tire). Taking out one of the fronts is the best way . .then call ICE. When they find your tools, or the status of the thieves, justice will be served.

Kris, In that case the perps were a couple of local blacks that had some priors. I actually saw the guy running from my garage with cases under both arms. I didn't have my gun or cell phone but I had car keys. A small Nissan pickup is quite a test for a loaded 6 cylinder Ford Explorer but I gained on them steadily until a pick-up truck full of day workers pulled in front of me and they got away. (go figure.) When I saw the same two guys in the same truck a couple of days later, it had the Mexico plates on it then. I got the plate number (could have swore it had an Obama sticker on it too!) and turned it in. Nothing yet. I do have my weaponry spread out throught the house now. I won't bother wasting precious gasoline next time..... I'll just "reach out and touch 'em!" WT

Obama was not a draft dodger like Clinton. I see no reason for the military to snub him the same way they did Clinton. many presidentshaven't served in the military and he had their respect. Did you see the military support Obama had at the convention? There was a line of generals that stood on stage and waved as their names were called. Are they all "miserable liberal child molester protecting pukes" too? I think he'll have their respect. Maybe Obama can get them the armor they need to keep them safe while over there? The republicans don't seem to be able to get it done. As far as the economy is concerned: Drilling will not solve our dependence on foreign oil. It will be years probably a decade before we see one drop, if we see any of it. American Oil companies are drilling now and how much of that is exported? Most of it. There are open leases right now that they are not drilling. Why? Every time congress pushes them to use it or loose it they cry foul. Why? Why not make the oil companies export less and keep it here? Why? Because big oil is running our country using the puppets they put in the presidency. Meanwhile McCain will allow the speculators to continue to falsely raise prices. This has been his voting record. They call him a Maverick but he has voted along with Bush 90+ percent of the time. Not much of a maverick in my eyes. Bush has promised but never delivered a comprehensive energy solution. This is a pattern we cannot afford to ignore. Wouldn't it be better to save the resources and seek alternate means of energy? Based on the last eight years, do you really think the Republicans will put a dime into the alternative energy? Even though they make promises? Look at the automotive industry today? How many thousands of people have been laid off? Even if the price of gas comes down do you think those people are going to get their jobs back? I don't think so. More likely they will move those jobs to China or somewhere overseas or across the boarder. Because they are rewarded by our government to do so through tax incentives. Why? And how come no one addresses the deficit? How many trillions will it be? What kind of a country will we give to our children? And mark my words, A military draft it coming as soon as McCain attacks Iran, and he will. Our children will be forced to fight a B.S. war so corporations can triple their profits. We aren't there stopping terrorism, don't fool yourself, all we're doing is pissing off a crap load of people. All the while Bin Laden is in Pakistan plotting his next attack on US soil. This will be the beginning of WWIII because Russia supports Iran. Just a little prediction. The U.S. can be a strong leader without having to attack other countries to get our point across. When force is necessary I am all for it. Lets keep our military strong, take care of our veterans, but lets make sure it's absolutely necessary and every possible diplomatic solution has been exhausted. I don't think McCain has the temperament to be diplomatic. Force is not always the answer. Jim |

Now, now boys. No need for violence. Can't we all just get along? Those most unfortunate men in need of things they obviously can't afford is heart breaking. Why should they be hassled about their behavior? They just want to make a honest living and send their money back home to their poor families.... Scott |
