Default A sad end to a Wild Hare.

This was the first time that a friend of mine came to fly at my field.
It was a sad ending to his Wild Hare Extra.
Hopefully he will still come to my field. LOL

Oh man, that sucks. I know that feeling all too well- just not at that scale (yet.) He took it better than I would have.

Thats a classic case of dumb thumbs right there. but he clearly had enuff time to recover from the unintentional snap to inverted but clearly panicked. It happens to us all but keeping your cool in a situation like that can really help to get out of an imminent crash. Always hate to see this.....

Yep, it was a six year old Extra 330, but it was a DA-100

Yep, after that sucker split, it slide for about 25 feet.
He wasn't to upset, we all hate to crash, but that was the plane that he like the least.
Tried everything, but could never ever get it to lock in on a harrier.

Don't have to worry about that anymore.....................

Look on the bright side, it appeared his engine was untouched by the crash. Perhaps the landing gear also.

I think this was part of the show, yes too much rudder, snapped in knife Edge, had the same thing happen to me yesterday except I was about 6 inches of the ground, saved it though and yes it was part of the show.
