Fiddy, do you wear a seat belt in a car? Why? Because it is insurance just in case you do crash, same with preventative measures agains heat, just in case, so how about taking the spoon out of the tea cup, and allow the waters to remain calm.

50 is a pimple faced little brat that never has anything good to offer. Has anyone ever seen him at an event or contest or does he sit at home and fly a keyboard. I am getting sick of all his Keyboard BS.

Ya I fly 6014 and use a fan. so what works great and no problems.

Put this in your pipes and smoke on it for a little we were in Tulsa for the heatwave and a few TEAM pilots were in attendance a couple had NO fans and didnt have a bit of trouble with there equipment. It wass 100 deg each day...

I'd have no problem with Futaba at all if they made a fan optional and put something in the sales material that says "if you fly in hot weather you should purchase our cooling fan to prevent over heating". This would be competely proper and most people would think nothing about it. And if somebody failed to do this and lost a plane to heat they would have no basis to complain.

Has Futaba done anything like this?

So if you foul a plug in your DA, I guess your switching to 3W....
I actually sent my transmitter in to be fixed.

I didn't change to JR because of this problem. I almost sold my 9303 and went back to Futaba, but this heat problem came out, and I decided to wait. After seeing the response, I didn't switch back, and I don't see a point in switching back with this kindda response, at this time. Now, I will be the first to tell you that Futaba's programming is bad ass, and is a leap ahead of JR. (any JR junkies wanna flame me for that one?)

My car comes with seat belts, I wear them, I don't have to modify them to ensure that they are safer. I'm here to fly my planes and it's my responsibility to ensure that they are as safe as they can be. I like Futaba's system, but I don't trust it in my airplanes. Maybe one day I will.

What's funny, when I talk about JR problems, they try to help me understand that their product is better. When I talk about Futaba problems, I get nasty emails and PM's from guys like Jason Cohen and Mark Trent.

no, I had to switch to 2.4 Ghz due to constant interferance, and I wanted a midrange radio to do it with. The 10C kept getting delayed, and I just went ahead and ordered a 9303 when Spektrum came out with their reciever giveaway. Horizon made the deal really sweet. I bought my stuff from Donalds, paid around $800, if I remember correctly, and got a radio with one AR7000, two AR9000's and two AR 9100's. Not too shabby.

50% is a troll, just look at his screen name. He has no experience with a 50% plane. He always has a comment, look at his post count. He has no hands on experience , only what he reads here on the forums. It's people of his ilk that cause confusion and misinformation on the net. If 50% only posted from actual knowledge his count would be single digit. Beware of any advice that comes from this TROLL

My screen name has nothing to do with a half scale plane,,,,, I've been flying for over 10 years, with JR and Futaba radio's. I just posted why I switched from Futaba, and why I didn't switch back. If I had just switched from JR, you would be singing a different tone. You know it, and I know it.

Oh yea, you're partially correct about my post count. It doesn't represent my level of experience, or for that matter anything else. ~1500 post are in the worthless longest thread,,,, and a probably a thousand or so are from pictures and videos that I've uploaded from events and such that I've attended.

Chris

p.s. please tell Jason to check my media gallery for proof of events that I've attended. That's not all of them, just the ones that I've uploaded media from.

Fiddy, I don't really know you. I've sen some constructive posts from you, and some absolute sh*t stirring. I have absolutely nothing to do with the management of this website, but I gotta believe that you're a heartbeat away from getting banned.

Stay on the positive side of the issues, understand that nobody makes perfect products, and help make this hobby and this website more enjoyable for the people that come here to share.
