Did you happen to find out from Horizon if this is a programming issue with the 12X software, or just a labeling issue with the manual?

What I took away from the conversation with Horizon is that its a labeling thing.

Hello everyone!

I appologize for the being off the subject, but i need help programming my 12x. the manual as you all know is very vague, and i would like to program in a throttle downline mix.

problem is when i program the mix my throttle trim will change the elevator setting. Is there anyway to turn this off? I was able to get around this issue w my 10x via offset but it doesnt seem to work w the 12.
Thanks for any advice ahead of time....

Love that radio :-)

When choosing the throttle channel for the mix choose the one labeled #thr This will use the stick position and not the throttle channel and allow you to use the trim with out affecting the mix.

I really thought I was loosing my mind when I attempted to do the 4 servo wing balancing.I guess they still don't have a software upgrade for this? I recieved my unit broken in the box, I sent it back for the repair as well as to have a ratchet installed on the throd. I just tonight attempted to set up a 4 servo wing with the same problem as all of the people on this thread.

Disapointed

I don't have a 12X yet, but hopefully there is a way to set up three servos per wing without the use of match boxes. With out the manual and the TX in hand this is all a too confusing.

Im not sure its something they would do automatically.

Using the Right Aileron 1 and Left Aileron1 on the right wing and a similar setup for the left wing is only a work-around to the wing 4-servo balancing problem. It is not the complete solution. As far I as I can tell it does work with all the mixes EXCEPT when you use your ailerons as flaperons. Then the servos will go in conflicting directions. I suspect there may also be a slight dynamic imbalance as the 12X servo sync function is not grouping the wing servos properly when the work-around is used.

Wow,
This thread is blowing me away. Right now all my sh$t is at HH (radio, rx, wing servos, extensions, and batteries) so they can figure why I keep blowing (stripping) outer wing servos when I power up my airplane. It was flown for 5 months before it started happening. Their first response was to rebind the system. 2 more stripped servos later away it goes. My end points are not set at max (around 110-118) and nothing was bound up. Plane is setup for IMAC only w/total of around 29 degrees aileron throw. Servos are 8611A that where new in June when I went threw the plane freshening it up for the 2.4ghz swap. AR9100 rx. Setup of the balance function was accomplished w/ammeter so there was no binding.

I just got my 12x back from Horizon with the balance updates. I am writing a guide on how to use the balance function and will post it when I finish. The picture of the receiver above is correct. Right wing on ch 2 and 5...and left wing on ch 7 and 8. When your radio gets updated...it will reflect the correct rail1 rail2 and lail1 lail2 in the balance and end point adjustments. Having your radio updated is not critical...but the endpoint adjustments are not labled right..you have to map it.
