http://ak-models.com/mm5/merchant.mv...&Category_Code= now to choose the engine.... dam exchange rate meant it cost me $NZ605 for the plane however A-K Models freight is good compared to some.... thought about a saito 180 but are now heading towards a two stroke petrol? what would be a good choice? I dont want it to sound like a weed eater lol

Crap... they only put out half the power of an OS or similar quality motor, but they are generally about half the price. I once bought a 1.20 for a CMPRO edge 540 when I was getting into aerobatics, the motor gave me nothing but problems, didn't have the power, was heavy, difficult to start and ended up overheating if you ran on anything with 5% or more nitro. If you have the money I would strongley suggest staying away from cheap chineese rip off brands like ASP... expecially when it comes to motors over the .46 size. There are a few petrol options out there... I have seen some people have good success but I have never owned anything petrol under 50cc. Again - stay away from the cheap chineese motors if you want something reliable.

I am still looking at the saito 180, however the lack of slime from a two stroke gas does appeal but how do they really sound? this plane is going to be a very nice plane (i hope) so want the best within my price range who else in NZ sell saito?
