Sweet bro! I like flying 3D, but still wanna do the IMAC. Some people say it makes you a CJ, but honestly, I've heard it makes you a better 3D pilot. Keep practicing!

Learning to fly IMAc certainly will make you a better 3D pilot. One thing IMAC teaches in fine control of the plane in any attitude. I've witnessed many 3D pilots that were good at 3D but had little bits of control problems, go into IMAC and now they are great 3D pilots.

Just one thing to remember, you might be a great 3D pilot but that does not mean you can jump into IMAC in Sportsman or above. The Basic sequence may look boring but learning to fly it correctly is not as easy as it looks.

I used to always tell everyone to start in basic and stay there for the whole first season, but now I've seen so many good 3D pilots start in basic, to learn "the ropes" and then move up to Sportsman for the challenge and actually do better so I am now saying, start in basic, learn what the judges are looking for and if you do not feel challenged enough move to sportsman
