Like Spinners? TBM has a new Carbon Fiber spinner that looks great. This AM the big brown truck stoped by the front door with this.
![]() Included are tips for cutting to fit your propeller, I promptly had mine fitted and the back plate drilled for a DA-150. ![]() It is a little too windy to fly today but under the guise of tuning the carb, the DA barked to life. The TBM CF Spinner tracked true with no surprises. ![]() The finish is beautiful with no pinholes. Balance was spot on and the weight was just under 5 ounces for the 5" size. Both the spinner cone and backplate are Carbon Fiber. Being Tru-Turn style, there is no index drilling of prop and backplate, allowing simple changes of props. TBM CF spinners are available in 3", 3.5", 4",4.5", 5" and 6" sizes. You can find it here; http://troybuiltmodels.com/newsite/p...rs_cf_tbm.html It is also available pre cut and drilled.

I have seen two of these spinners upclose.Very good quality and the price is right and not to mention not having to cut your own carbon spinners anymore.

i really like the single bolt on the center of the spinner. i have read somewhere though that this type of bolt mounting causes the carbon fiber to crack when the bolt is tightened. it could have been another brand. just couldnt recall what it was.

I have not had the opportunity to compare the two side by side, guess we will just have to take your word on that matter. Also seems Azure is a Canadian company which is fine, there may be some advantages of buying product inside of your own country borders. I do know that TBM has all sizes listed IN STOCK.

Just got my spinner last week and had a chance to fly the other day. I'm really impressed with this spinner. It is absolutly gorgeous and was very easy to put on. I cut it out myself and I must say it was easier than I thought it was going to be. I can remember having to make the holes bigger in the aluminum ones and that was a pain in the but. This was a lot easier than that. After making a templete of my prop I placed it on the spinner and began cutting with the dremel. After sanding it multiple times the prop fit right in. Four holes in the back plate and it was ready to be mounted. It looks really sharp on the plane and is a lot lighter than the aluminum ones. I think TBM has a hot product here and the price is right!

Those look very nice. I also like the way it mounts with 1 screw in the middle. Easy to balance that way also.
