I'd like to see a 85CC version of the TOUCAN as with the narrow turboprop cowl and air intake below it would only suit a single?

Quique’s New Turbine Toucan!

Infinity Entertainment Inc. and Quique Somenzini are proud to preview the first of several models in the works! Quique has been hard at work developing an electric that is not only a great flyer but one that best balances the esthetics of the original Turbine Toucan, and we think he’s nailed it! The first model (pictured) is fully ARF and very quick to assemble. Preliminary info includes wingspan of 41inches and length of 45 inches. Class and weight information will be coming soon.
Only 4 servos to drive all control surfaces! Also, the TT will have a very unique system to attach the wings that makes the assembly at the field just a matter of a very few minutes, simple amazing! Stay tuned, a lot more info to follow soon enough!

i would be on the order list for the Ti-12 right away! i would hope that the "big" size picked would be able to be powered by a 170 as the general public doesn't have the access to the 200's. bring it on QQ.....we'll buy 'em!!!!

A 40% muscle bipe could work out very well. Nice thing about a big bipe, like a big Giles, is it's shorter in length than a monoplane and will probably still fit (main wings removed) inside a standard bed pick up. The larger a bipe becomes the better it handles!!

I could probably be talked into an Aeroworks product a lot faster than I could a QQ product simply for price reasons. The quality difference between the two should be a non issue as long as flight surface sizing was equal. Perhaps one might weigh a pound or so different from the other but in a 40% size the flight effects would be minimal. Hardware would be a key to sales. The one with the more complete and better hardware would take the lead after sales due to a "name" fell off.

I'll be looking for the Aeroworks Ultimate. It definately has me interested.

The quality on my 40% TOC Pitts M12 is excellent. We'll see how they fly soon I hope. Hardware is totally usable although I changed a few things to my liking.

FLying wires will be a pain though... that will be a big advantage for AW and QQ since I think neither uses flying wires on the prototypes.

The larger they get the more the need for the flying wires. We may not like them from a time, labor, and nuisance standpoint but they probably become a structural requirement at 35% and up. To much mass in the outer wing panels leveraging the cabanes, "I" struts, and bottom wing center hold downs otherwise. I'd hate like hell to see the wings come off a large bipe in flight because someone was too lazy to use the flying wires. The time and labor saved in omitting the wires could never equal the investment loss. That doesn't take into account the various safety issues that would arise during such a failure.

Simple fact of life is that the larger we go with our planes the closer we will get to full scale design and construction techniques.

Hello,
I am sponsered by blazingwings.com and I just got my biplane in. Its the Big Pitts! They are really nice! I made my own color scheme. If you would like any details or want to buy anything call VisionHobbies or try out VisionHobbies.com. We can get you anything you need and also do the color scheme modification on the bigger planes. They sure are a really good company! Let me know what you think.
