As far as safety rules go, couldn't we modify the forsyth ones or get them to sign a basic disclaimer stating they will abide by the association rules.

Yes I think we could modify the existing forsyth rules. How big a set up are we looking at? I don't think we would be able to get the club caravan, but we could get the 2 Easyups. Anyone have a tent we could use as base? One that we can stand up in.

I will email today about sponsorship.

I would say for this year use the back of a car or van as the "caravan" Frequency control will be easily done. I don't think we really need a tent but we clould all chip in and get one of those cheep gazebos as us Chch peops know each other

Hi guys sounds like a cool idea. Just a quick question are you intending to run this in conjunction with round 7 pattern and round 6 Imac set down for that weekend in Christchurch?

Cheers Louis

I would like to have a pattern or imac comp on one of the days, nothing too serious - just some fun and some good flying! maybe break up the rounds with some general flying and foamy hoolaganism. it would be good practice for flyers and judges.
I havent flown a sequence in months and months - and besides i wont to beat johhny!

I think we should run the Round 7 Pattern Comp, everyone knows the sequences and IMAC hasn't exactly taken off in the South Island... I'd be happy to run on one of the days (or at least a morning) and then open up the free for all in the afternoon/next day

I'd propose just running the sportsman and advanced sequences, nobody is flying F3A down here

maybe we should be carefull not to discourage any non-competion flyers from coming along by keeping the pattern comp fairly concise,

i can appriciate it can be a tad boring for non-compeditors (and judges) to watch the same old routine over and over again.

maybe just do one round in the morning and one in the afternoon, keep things moving with somebody to organise the next flyer up to the flightline and ready to go as the first is landing (i will volenteer!)

clealy we could run more rounds as time/interest/lack of cold beers allows.

looking forward to this - sounds like a great weekend!
