This will be a great help to many! A very kind service!

I know how expensive and difficult it is getting a plane half way across the world, I'm sure from one side of America to the other is just a difficult. Currently my plane is somewhere between Northern Ireland and Tucson, lets hope it gets there in one piece!!

Looking forward to meeting some of you guys at the shootout.

Heres a link to the DA site. On the left hand navigation, it has the classes (Sportsman through Freestyle), click what you want to see, and it will give you the names of all the pilots who are flying. The top pilots fly Invitational and Freestyle.

Hope this helps.

Tom, that's awesome! Thanks for donating your time and the mileage on your rig!

When do you think you'll be coming through Memphis? I'd like to buy ya lunch/dinner, whatever. Plus we can have some I6 diesel talk.

Well done Tom - an awesome contribution - we have four planes in Australia that we have to get to Tucson - you don't feel like a round trip via Aus do you?

Thanks for all the kind words guys! Need to give yourself all "high fives" for making it into the shootout! I know how hard all of you have flown this past summer in order to make it to this final showdown of the worlds best pilots and I am honored to be able to be a part of this is some small way. Last year worked out great and hopefully this year will be even better! Hopefully this can become an annual tradition!

Also need to give the guys at DA a huge shout out "THANK YOU!", not only for sponsoring this event as well as all the hospitality and logistics they provide for many pilots going to this event. I don't think many of us really understand the enormous amount of time, money, dedication, and countless phone calls and emails that Dave and his crew handle during this time. They are awesome people!

I may possibly be able to do a pick up in the New Jersey area a couple weeks before the contest at the Vince Lombardi Service Area on the NJTP if anyone on the east coast needs a plane taken out. Also, as Pride has stated, I will be doing a pickup near Statesville, NC a couple weeks before the shootout as well so any of you SE guys could meet me there as well.

And yes, if I could put some skis on my rig and hook up an outboard prop on the rear end, I would have no problem making the trip to Aussie country! LOL (I won't say this too loudly but I always wanted to take a vacation to Australia and thought at one point that it would be a great place to retire.)

Take care everyone and let me know if I can be of help in any way - and most of all - Good luck at the Shootout!

Best regards,

Tom Arnold

Okay,
this could work...

Do you have room for my CAP 580? (full scale)

Kennett Square, Pa....

Just kidding, but it sounds better than 12 hours in the cockpit of the CAP.

C U There...maybe......
