Hey Jon, yes you are right 2001 Freightliner Classic XL. It has the 84" bunk . 280" wheelbase. 13 speed overdrive. Bought her brand new and has been a great truck. My 4th truck since started buying my own in 1996. My first truck I purchased was a 1988 International 9670 cabover with a 400 mechanical Cummins big cam. I then bought new -1995 Pete 379 - 1998 Freightliner Classic - 2001 Classic. Started driving company trucks back in 1987. Trucking is a career but it is also sort of a passion/lifestyle, kind of like RC!

Hi Matt,
No problem on the Cap. I have hauled full scale aircraft before, aircraft engines, parts etc. If you can put it in a trailer, I've hauled it! My trailer is a 2008 Great Dane logistics van. I carry ramps, furniture pads, e-trak decking bars, straps - all sorts of stuff that lets me haul about anything. Thats one of the funnest things in this bussiness as you get to haul some pretty interesting stuff. Even sometimes stuff that isn't so interesting. I booked a load out of Brooklyn, New York one time. Agent told me it was scrap paper coming back to Ohio. Got down into Brooklyn to load it and it was baled garbage going to a landfill in Ohio. Sorry, I don't do garbage! I told them and left empty - oh well. Have fun on your trip. I am sure 12 hrs in the air goes alot quicker than 3 days on the road but you don't get to enjoy those big "Truck Stops" in the sky. LOL!

Hey Tony,
Nice seeing you again at Clover Creek and thanks for all your help there.

Not sure I'll have cookies in hand this time but I'm sure I can whip something up! LOL! What happened with that "Biggest Loser" thing you guys were doing anyway?

Met Tom yesterday afternoon and loaded the last plane. He drove right at 800 miles yesterday and stopped about 60 miles short of Texas last night to rest.

He is at this time going through Texarkana, GPS says he has 1100 miles left to go.

He is going to try to make it to Elpaso before he stops again for the evening.

Tom said to tell everyone that the planes and cargo are riding like lil babies

Will update again later.
