Giles 202 help!
Hey guys, have a Lanier Giles 202 35% that I forgot to bolt the canopy down on and... you can probably guess the rest of the story. Anyhow the canopy is history and I can't seem to find one. E-mailed Lanier, (goes to Hobbico-Great Planes) none left, E-mailed Wild Hare to see if they had any canopies left from their older 35% Giles and no luck. (By the way Tom is a good person and tried to help but to no avail.) Put out wanted ads in all the sites and no responses. Even e-mailed an old for sale ad to see if he still had the plane for sale and no good there. I am going to call Hostetler to see if they have any from their 35%er.
So here I am to ask you guys if anyone has a canopy from an older Lanier or Wildhare Giles 35% or for that matter any ideas on what canopy I could graft on that would look decent. Thought about vacuum forming my own but not ready to go there yet. Let me hear your ideas!! I really would like to get this plane back in the air. It is a good flyer. Thanks, Bryce |
