Default 35% Carden 330 needs work

I am appealing to all the builders out there for a little help. ( i am definitely not a builder so expect stupid questions to follow)

3 years ago I had a builder frame up a 35 % extra. I picked up the plane and haven't touched it since. I am now getting ready to finish it and have discovered a few problems and need some advice.

1. The ply hard-points in the fuse for the stab L brackets are in the wrong place. He did not set the stab incidence, so when I went to do so I discovered I was drilling sheeting only. He installed them just forward of the tube support truss. I don't think moving the L bracket on the stab is a good fix because I would have to move it almost to the center of the stab to get into the existing hard-point.

My question is, can I cut a hatch out of the already attached bottom deck to access this area without hurting the strength of the fuse?

2. The servo mounts in the wing are all screwed up. On one panel they are(Measurements are from edge of servo rail closest to hinge) 1 1/4 inches from the hinge line and oriented roughly perpendicular to the wing tube. on the other panel one mount is 2 1/4 inches from the hinge line and oriented perpendicular to the hinge line and the other is 2 1/2 inches from the hinge line and oriented 10% different from the other mount. Its a mess. I intend to use this plane for IMAC so I dont want to be fighting poorly set up control surfaces.

Do I plug up the servo holes in the really messed up panel and start over? Will this compromise the strength of the wing? I am worried that working on one wing will make it heavier than the other and cause me to add weight to balance later.

In addition, the servo wire slot is about 1 inch wide and looks like it was gouged out with a spoon. Is this a strength issue?

I know this is allot of info but I would appreciate any help. I also realize I should have given this plane a better look over before I took it, but thats on me. Between the kit and labor I have close to 2k into an uncovered 35% airframe and just want it to be right.

Thanks

Tony

Can you post some pics of the wings and the stabs so we can get a better idea of what your looking at. Rob

Here ya go Rob. attached is a pic of the right(good) wing bottom and the left for comparison. As they are laid out I would need different size pushrods for each wing.

Also included is a crude drawing of problem with stab hardpoints and a photo of the servo wire channel. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks again!

Whoever built that plane really f'd you up. Yes, you can cut a hatch in the tail. Most folks do to get to the tail end just in case of whatever. I dont believe you'll have to worry about strength issues in the wing. The only issues you need to worry about is the travel will be way off. You could get away with flying it that way. On the stabs, you might just have to go with what you have. If the hard points match up then you might have to deal with it. All the L bracket does is help to hold the stab in place. There should also be a bolt through the stab tube.
