Hello All,

Just remember all to bring your warm coats for sure; the AM can be in the low 30's. The contest last year was huge and a ton of fun for sure. I plan to have a foamy fly and eat gathering again at my casa like last year but this time on Friday night. There will be food and drinks along with a fun area for the electrics. Wind permitting we will have VAPOR combat :-) We have lots of room so come all…

Cheers,

Bernie & Cheryl

Hi all,

Registration is now open for the superstition Challange. This year we are taking pre registration for the contest. Cost for the contest will be $40 if you pre register and $50 at the contest. We are trying to process most of the contestents prior to the contest date so we can get started early on Sat. Turnout last year was terrific and we hope to see everyone again. If the turnout is high then we will be running 3 flight lines. No one will be left out . . .

Michael Wyman

I STRONGLY advise against three flight lines !! It would vastly complicate the judging requirements/matrix, and, most of all, exponentialy raise the risk of mid-airs !!

I have learned to accept my beating as they come.

But after yesterday my new ride is out of commission for a while so it doesn't matter now.

Mej 32-10 delaminated from the hub to the tip on the leading edge 3 minutes into the flight. Took out the cowl and one wing tip. It took a while but we found the prop. I thought it threw a blade because both wings were damaged, but the minor damage on the other wing must of been from the spinner back plate or prop washer. The spinner cone was not on the plane. Mark Doan tightened the prop bolts before take off, and there wasn't any vibration.

Sorry to hear that Tony, sounds like it will fly again though. Last month I had a Mej 30 X 12 delaminate on about it's 6th flight. I know of more than a few others recently as well. Most fail with very little time on the, I wonder whats going on with them....
