Both wings are sheeted and should be off the table after dinner.

38 lbs will be tough to obtain. Stock, with wings lightened, my is 39.5. I have one servo on each el, two on the rudder, and two on each aileron. Not choke servo.

I don 't want to upset you but Woodward's came in at 37lbs 10 oz with tuned pipes.
Anyway here's some pics of the wings cleaned up. Rob

... yup - sub 38 lbs with Greves, and 3 servos per aileron, 3 on the rudder, 1 per elevator. No choke servo either. A123 batteries, Smart-Fly EQ10, NO regulators!! Cored out rudder. Mine flew awesome today!!

Looking Good Rob!!!

This post is directed at all Dalton MEL 300 owners that are in the process of putting a DA 170 with Greves pipes in their plane. I ran in to a problem with the F-4 former and could not put my finger on a solution so i called Matt Balaz(MattyMatt) and he sent me some pics on what he came up with. So I ran with his idea and and this is what I came up with.
First thing was to remake the Greves holder cause the holes are farther apart in the back than the pipes are in the front. This also helped with hitting the hole in the fuse without the pipe stingers angled to much. This plate is made of 1/4 inch lite ply and weighed 1 oz.
Second was that some people were commenting on hot air getting trapped in the fuse so I came up with the vent plate in the back. The vent plate is made of 1/4 inch balsa.
When covering the bottom of the fuse, all three holes in the front plate will be open.
I want to thank Matt Balaz for taking the time to send me the pics of what he did. Matt did all the hard work of cutting his parts by hand and making them fit. My part was easy. All I had to do is have it transfer to cad and change a few things and have it cut on the laser. Here's the pics with the new parts glued in and mocked up. Rob
