... mine is about wore out... time for the industrial one.

Hey Rob... since you have access to the lazer... do you have access to a water jet? I have an idea. Your phone is about to ring....

Where can I get a hot knife. I did a search on the internet and found some that have very large blades, look to be to large. One more thing, from what company do you get your carbon rope. Thanks

Fancy Foam Products makes the hot knife.

www.cstsales.com sells both the Hote Knife and the CF. I've been using the 50,000 strand tow.

Thanks for the website, very cool stuff. How many feet of carbon do you typically use for a 40% wing and such. Do you think that the smaller tow could be used on the rudder and elev? Thanks Randy

I use the 50,000 strand for all... mainly because I buy a lot at one time.

For the pattern I made for the Dalton wings, the ailerons use a lot of tow. So, about 110 ft is needed to do both wings total. (This is the same pattern Rob is using) If you want to do anything else with the tow you'll need more.

Well between doing yard work and paying some bills this weekend, I got some work done in the shop. I put some time in on both Don's and Brian's planes, Don's is practically done except some final mudding here and there and gluing the canopy on. Brian's is coming along nicely. I got the wing roots glued on and the incidence set on the wings. I forgot to take pics of the wings cut out but I'll post those tomorrow. Rob
