Take a look at the J&J Tailwheels ann the White Rose Tailwheels websites. Both advertise here on FG. If you don't have a tailwheel both would be good choices and their sites have some pics that should get you going in the right direction.

the daltons are set up for a leaf style tail wheel... easy as pie to set up on them.

I've used and recommend the White Rose or the Graph tech... both have worked very well. I like the pull pull steering on them as well.

Thanks for the info . I have a rcblimp . It is pretty nice but the mounting straps are sagging and it didn't have steering springs .Was not sure the best way to mount the springs. I think with a little TLC I can get it working good . If not I will try something new.

I have one of those on mine, and will probably be switching. The way it installs, and works, does not fit well.

Pick up the springs at any decent hardware store. They usually have a small cabinet drawer set with various springs or they'll have a wall display with packaged springs in pairs or fours. Find the ones that will fit the length and tension you think you'll need and go from there. Usually the smaller ones work better than the larger.

The reason for the springs is to reduce the shock loading on the servo. You could just go direct and eliminate the springs if you wanted to but it will eventually have an impact on servo life if you do.

Try silicone fuel tubing and small zip ties, works better than springs IMHO.

If you are looking for a RC Blimp type of "Haigh" style tailwheel. Our design is very similar, but we improved the areas where we had our own problems with RC Blimp. We also have a direct drive version that does not require springs.

Thanks
John

I have been looking at a number of tail wheels white rose,j&j,pete's,and graph tech, . I finally figured out my rc blimp that I have on my 40% dalton is a 30% size tail wheel that is why it is so weak . I have ordered a white rose so I will let you know what I think .
