Which is the better set-up to use? The Smart-Fly Equalizer II or the JR Matchbox for setting up two servos per wing.. I am going to run a single servo per wing half on a 46% Ultimate (Right sides linked together and Left sides linked together) and was curious as to which one would be better to buy to use in this type of set-up.

They both do the same thing. I believe the SF has better resolution and weighs less. Price is just about the same.
Both will work fine

the smart fly stuff is less weight! it is absolutely simple to use and i have this type set up in all of my planes! i'm sure the jr stuff is great as well, i just don't have any personal experience with it.
not to mention the service from smart fly is TREMENDOUS!!!!!!!

I was using the SMII with 8711's. The servos were jerky and had terrible jitter. I replaced them with JR matchboxes and the jerkiness and jitter went away. I also did not have the jerkiness when going straight into the receiver.

I've never used the SmartFly but I've been using Matchboxes since they hit the market. They work very well.

If you are using Hitec servos it is. It doesn't work very well on JR, Futaba, or Airtronics products.
One thing about the Matchboxes and SmartFly stuff is that you don't need to update the programmers' programming or buy a newer version when you change servos. All of the products work well and I don't think one is enough better than another to run out and buy a bunch of new servos just so they can be programmed. |

Nothing wrong with using the MSA-10. The problem is remembering it's name. It's been around a long time but is a little short on exposure. Gald you remembered to include it. It's essentially the same as the Matchbox and SmartFly unit.
