Default What Ever Happened to Mintor Engines?

The title is self explanatory. About a year or so ago Mintor was making some real nice looking 100cc prototypes, and looking towards a 150cc engine.

Where did they go?

It was a start but I'm wondering if they are still making engines.

Oh yes, for what I know they still making (very good) engines,

They have recently update the 75 and 110 twin with new carburator and I think they are developing a 220 4 cyl.

I exchanged e-mails with Mr. Magni this morning. For those that have one of the earlier Mintor 110's, he would like you to contact him about upgrading the carb. They've made an improvement in this area and they would like to upgrade all of the pre-existing engines. There's about 10 unaccounted for in the U.S.

I contacted Claudio today and he promptly got back to me. Asked that I send my engine and exhaust back to get completely upgraded.

What do the engines weigh? They look a little heavy. US cost?

Don't have the cost or the weight at the moment. I'm not very concerned about either, but the price will likely be high due to our trashed dollar and economy.

I have some weights compared against my DA 100

DA 100 with headers..........................2.922 kg....6.44 lbs.
DA 100 with everything (MTW) cans....3.684 kg....8.12 lbs.

3M 110 with headers..........................2.932 kg....6.46 lbs.
3M 110 with everything (tuned cans)...3.742kg.....8.25 lbs

I weighed both engines with headers, cans and ignitions with all hardware included.

No batteries or switches.

Wow....thats alot lighter than I figured it would be by the way it looks. Might be worth a try if you can get it into the US at a reasonable cost.

So the weight difference is negligible.
