I have seen a ton of the Pythons, and they look awesome.
Also they fly amazingly well.

3D Seth blew my mind flying one in Columbus, he had it doing slow rollers 2" off the deck, and it looked effortless. (I know his skill has a lot to do with it, but the plane took all he handed it)

The covering looks nice, and the frame of the airframe looks very nicely put together.

If I had the room and the money, I'd own one of these!

Thanks Sleepy C, I think this is the route im going to take. With the wing area its the closest to a 40% in the 100cc class.

Flew mine a lot this season. They are awesome. They need a little mixing but not much more than a monoplane. I flew IMAC Intermediate with it.

They are not perfect in every way - here is what I did to mine:
Cowl fit needed some work and I added some stick-on felt to close the gaps and reduce vibration

Same with the canopy - I added felt to reduce noise and vibration

You need to re-glue all the front glue joints (standard for most ARF's)

I added some cross bracing under the canopy to reduce vibration more

I also added 2 tabs to the front of the canopy to secure it better as the dowel holes ovaled out after a while

I made CF flying wires because I got tired of the thin wire ones stretching, breaking etc.

But - those things aside it is an AWESOME flying plane.

I have not completed mine yet but here are my findings so far. It has been the easiest ARF I have ever put together. The manual is excellent. You can assemble it just by using the multitude of detailed photographs contained in the online manual.

A determined and organized builder (which I am not -- I'll spend 30 minutes looking for a screwdriver) could have the plane go from the box to the flightline in a few days. Mine should fly within the next week or so.

Finally, QQ Aircraft Company has the best customer support this side of Desert Aircraft. Reza goes the extra mile to help ensure you have a great experience with your new plane.

We've been flying a couple of them this season and I can personally say that it's my favorite airplane! I did have some of the same issues that were mentioned above but they were WAY outweighed by the performance and fun that this thing has offered me. Oh yeah, and I'm using Quique's "crow" program and it's awesome!

If you don't have the motor yet, you may want to set it up with the DA-85 on a Greeve pipe. Plane weighs about 25-26 pounds with smoke and is a rocket. Flies like a foamy in the gym!

http://www.rcmodelaviator.com/QQAC/DA85Conversion.pdf

It's awesome any way you slice it, though. Smoke was a little better with the DA-100 though for obvious reasons!

Keep us posted on your build with pics please!

I had a chance to fly Robert's Python at the Fly-for-Tots last weekend. That airplane is amazing!! His has a DA-100 and power is unreal. It has a very light wingloading and responds like a foamy. I didn't fly much precision with it, but it felt very capable. If the consensus is that it flies IMAC pretty well, I might try to get one for next season...
