Default Engine Problem?

Hi Guys,
Was test running my Roto 25 tonight and all was going OK. However when I give full throttle all is OK. However when I throttle back quickly ti idle it sometimes almost stops and sometimes it does stop.

Is this a mixture problem at the low end? Didn't want to mess about too much as this is my first gasser.

Your views welcomed.

Regards

Trevor

I would think that your idle is set too low or it needs to be richened a tad on the low end. What RPM does it idle well at ?

Slop in your linkage, a servo that overtavels when pegged to endpoints, rich mixture and excess fuel coming down from full throttle is too much for idle. How does your plug look?

When the engine stumbles after coming down from full throttle, does it then pick up RPM slightly and smooth out? After a long idle, how is the transition to full?

Arobatx, Yes it does pick up RPM slightly after stumbling and then smooths out OK. Also If I lean out the top end at all it stops when I try to give it full throttle, so I have to richen it again .
