Default Help with new Stick ends....

Well... saw a review in a magazine and thought I would order some stick ends for my radio....
http://www.kionastore.com/product_in...roducts_id=397

They are very nice and look good (I bought the black ones)

but there is no way to lock them in place... so when you are flying, your thumbs still fall off because the ends are just rotating freely......

any ideas on how to lock them in place?

There are no threads showing below the stick ends, so no room for a lock nut....
and thread locker concerns me a bit.....

the ends feel really nice, but I just can't stop them from rotating......

any ideas?

Thanks!

Curtis.... Are you sure that they don't have the lock nut down inside the middle of the top, using a small allen key?

Get a nut the same thread (obviously) and screw it in before the stick, adjust to height and counter torque it.

Curtis.... What I would do is to determine the inside thread & then get a pair of small allen head locks (similar to the ones used in the wheel collars & use those from the top down to lock the grips.

Futaba and JR and not the same thread - the easiest solution is to visit Ace Hardware or anyplace that carries metric stuff, take your TX and find two nuts that thread down on the sticks, then screw on the stick ends and tighten the lock nut. If you can find socket head set screws that would be nice but they are going to be more difficult to find. I would not use thread lock because it is going to put a load on the gimbal when you try to take the stick ends off. I have two sets of sticks ends on two different TX's and both use the lock nut approach. If you order from Madison Hobbies they include the lock nuts - but they are also quite a bit more expensive.

How about taking the set screws from the OEM sticks (I assume you won't be using them) and use those on your new sticks ends.
