have anyone tried these yet? And also, I believe the CS-110 and CS-115 are the same as the TS-110 and TS-115, but now CS-110 are on sale on Tower hobbies for $19.99 which is a very good price.
These servos have one metal gear and the rest are plastic. I am wondering if the plastic gears are getting worn faster due to that metal one? Just wondering.

I ran them on throttle to save weight...was good for that on a 50cc and I believe I had it on my 100cc that I sold...worked great for that. I did take a little tension off the throttle spring as I do all my engines though if that matters....I've ordered parts for my other Hobbicos and Tower Hobbies servos and they send my Hitec parts if that matters, also if you look under the label it is a Hitec case as I've replaced them too...I run Hitec 5245's now for throttle...

Plan to use them on control surfaces of the Slick 51". Rated 46 oz.in at 6V, do you think the rated torque is accurate ?

I have tested 625 MG ( 94 oz.in @ 6V) and TS-140 (83 oz.in @ 6V) (similar method as TBM)
and the result is 92 oz.in @ 6.4V for 625 MG and 50 oz.in @ 6.4V for the TS-140. A bit disappointed with the rating on the TS-140.

Actually have 2 of them laying around. Will test them this weekend and report back. If the rated torque of 46 oz.in is accurate, this might be a good replacement for the 5085 MG that cost more than twice the price.

I used to use the 5245's. Had 1 burn up on the bench. In the last week I lost two in two different planes that both had around 80 flights on them. They started to act erratic then stopped completely. TBM told me several years ago that this was the best servo for large gas plane throttles. There is an entire thread on this site about these servos. I am in the process of changing out the last two but don't know what to get. BTW I have found out ( on my planes ) after starting my big motors and holding the throttle servo then holding the aileron servos that the aileron servos had more vibration. The motor vibration seemed to be a side to side motion!!

I've burned one up (5245) when I was setting my throttle endpoints...I had it in a bind for too long and that's all it took...You don't buy any chance kill your engine with throttle do you ??? If you do and its in a bind for a little each time that could cause it to go out over time I would think...

The ATV travel is set at a few clicks off of full throttle ( temperature change insurance ) and I shut off with an RCat digital switch. What is a good HiTec servo for GS throttles??
