man, the EF 88" is AWESOME!!!!!!!! but, if the 101"QQ is out there for close to the same money, i would say get an 85cc engine and buy the big one! the bigger the better!!!

If you are going 50cc market I vote for the EF Yak 88". I have seen the others and IMO the EF Yak is a step above. Bigger is always better, but I understand the constraints of money. Good luck.

That's great all QQ's planes are on sale until 12-15-09 That should make it a easy choice. QQ all the way.

Is the only place to purchase the EF Yak from their website? Anyone else offer the kit with a package, can't find it anywhere? What to avoid shipping fees if possible, live in WA state

Guys I just bought one of these and yes its the yellow flame version.
Well its plane and simple the best money I have ever spent on a gasser and I have spent alot. Everything on this plane from the covering down to the hardware is 100% perfect it has the best composite control horns out and all control horns come with ball links ( good ones) it come pre hinged and the tank pre installed. Also the rudder is removable.

LET ME SAY IT AGAIN .....................THIS YAK IS THE BEST MONEY CAN BUY IT IS 100% PERFECT AND FOR HALF THE PRICE OF SOME OF THE OTHERS.

DONE DEAL

Hmmmm,,,,this from Pilot-RC website;

PILOT-RC Co. Ltd, is manufacturing professional giant scale competition planes. Our new state of the art factory is located in Zhongshan city of China. One of the owners of our company, Mr. Jianghua Zou, was the production manager for a well-known manufacturer. He has rich experiences with giant scale planes such as designing, production, quality control, and performance. Many of the people on our team also came over from this well known company so they are already prepared to producing high quality giant scale competition planes. Our products are strictly inspected from the first level of wood selection all the way to the completed aircraft. Pilot-RC is also striving to provide the best service possible. We will always listen to the feed back of our aircraft and make the changes necessary to stay on top. Pilot-RC is in production at present time.

The "well-known manufacturer" was SD Models. He probably took everything he learned at SD and moved on to start his own company. Entrepreneurship is alive and well in China I guess.

FWIW the owners of DG Haikong worked for many years at The World Models before starting their own company. They are easily one of the best manufacturers out there (make the planes for Hyperion, Extreme Flight, etc).

I think they look very good and can't wait to see the Pilot RC planes when they arrive.
