SC Regional Champs!!!!

Thanks to all the competitors and their family's for coming out. Great turn out with 28 pilots. I warned everyone about the sun reflextion and we had it both days of the event. Other then the Med Likfe blimp that flew by Sunday morning. It was your typlical contest.

Thanks to the Thunderbird club for letting us play on their field.

The contest was great, thanks to the Ft. Worth Thunderbird's and the IMAC SC crew for putting on a well run contest.

For me it was great to shake hands with people I've seen only on these forums; Ryan Gonsoulin, Dean "5oz" Nistetter, Rick Byrd & Jeremy Holt.

We also handed out to special awards for going beyond the call of duty in IMAC. There were two individuals that received these awards. They were Dan Powell and Eddie Bernaldez. Both of these gentlemen did a lot of work behind the scenes the past two years in IMAC.

Way to go guys, the SC IMAC Championship contest at the Thunderbirds' field is alway a great contest even though I've had bad luck there two times (one total loss and one slightly broken landing gear!). I hated that I had to miss this contest as well as the whole season due to a simple stubbed toe (well, stubbed toe that led to a whirling spin that led to a fall on my right wallet that led to a broken hip!!)!!

Seriously though, congratulationsto everyone that competed in the SC Region 2008 IMAC season.
